Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly organized, self-driven Designer to support packaging, retail, and product-focused design initiatives. This role requires strong production skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings experience coordinating external partners and contributing to evolving design systems, with opportunities to leverage AI-assisted design and advanced production techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage multiple design projects while adapting to shifting priorities and tight deadlines

  • Design, update, and production-ready packaging cartons and retail assets using Adobe Illustrator

  • Maintain and evolve design guides, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adoption of new requirements

  • Coordinate and direct outside retouchers, photography studios, and other creative contractors

  • Review and proofread design files with a strong command of written English and attention to detail

  • Ensure color consistency and visual quality across product silos, lifestyle imagery, and retail assets

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams

Experience & Qualifications

Required Experience & Skills

  • 4–8+ years of professional graphic design experience (consumer products, packaging, or retail preferred)

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign for multi-page layouts and production files

  • Strong image retouching skills, including the ability to retouch assets personally and direct external retouchers

  • Experience or training in AI-assisted design workflows (e.g., photo manipulation, AI-supported instruction manual creation)

  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in typography, layout, and proofreading

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating product instruction manuals or guides, with a focus on clear, visual communication using images or illustrations

  • Experience using AI tools to create or manipulate realistic photography for commercial use

  • Strong visual design sensibility with a refined eye for composition, color, and typography

  • Knowledge of packaging production, dielines, print processes, and vendor handoff

  • Ability to create high-quality 2D and 3D renderings of products and packaging

Portfolio Requirements

  • A portfolio is required and must be submitted with the application (website or PDF)

  • Portfolio should demonstrate strong visual design, attention to detail, and typography skills.

  • Examples of packaging, retail assets, or product-focused design work are strongly preferred.

  • Include samples showing production-ready work (e.g., dielines, print layouts, multi-page documents, or instruction manuals)

  • Retouching or photography-related examples are a plus, particularly those showing color consistency across assets

  • AI-assisted or experimental work may be included, but must clearly demonstrate thoughtful, intentional design decisions
