Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated Delivery Manager to oversee the successful execution of projects. In this role, you will collaborate with developers, designers, and other professionals to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet the required quality standards.

The Delivery Manager will be responsible for monitoring progress, making adjustments as necessary to keep the project on track, and providing guidance and mentorship to team members. Additionally, you will liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure their needs and expectations are consistently met.


Responsibilities

  • Identify risks and issues that may impact delivery schedules or services and develop mitigation plans.
  • Manage the team efficiently by applying methodologies, frameworks and other team management tools.
  • Support team members during the ramp-up process by scheduling introduction meetings, knowledge transfer sessions, sharing documentation, among others to ensure the contribution starts as soon as possible.
  • Be up to date with every project that each team member is working on. Understand difficulties, problems and opportunities. Be a facilitator.
  • Help each team member to prepare and follow a personal development plan aligned with his/her career development.
  • Set goals for each team member, periodically check goals progress, make adjustments and take actions as needed.
  • Do performance reviews with every member of the team according to the process defined by the company.
  • Identify low performers or team members who are performing below role expectations. Prepare, present and follow a performance improvement plan (pip) accordingly.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their product and technology needs, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and work with account management teams and sales to ensure organic growth.
  • Foster innovation and develop a continuous improvement approach, identifying new frameworks, technologies and processes, with high quality initiatives and proposals.
  • Ensure people allocation in a timely manner and follow-up on the assignment process. Contribute to the recruiting process.
  • Understand, gather, document and generate reports with software development performance and quality metrics from the team.
  • Help to execute the business and technical vision defined by the company.
  • Propose and execute team building activities, share and "preach" the company's vision and mission.


Experience & Qualifications

  • 5+ years product/project management experience
  • 5+ years performing people care and people career development
  • 3+ years of agile software delivery experience
  • Technical background and understanding: Frontend & Backend development, Databases, Data, Infrastructure, Security, Cloud Services.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Result oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to navigate various tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic work setting.
  • A commitment to upholding high standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions and tasks.
  • Advanced proficiency in English.
